Nigerian Women's Trust Fund (WF) Vacancy for Chief Executive Officer in Abuja

The

Nigerian Women’s Trust Fund (WF) was created in 2011 to increase

the representation of women in Nigerian governance at all levels

and address the growing concerns about the gender imbalance in

elective and appointive position.


We are recruiting to fill the position below:



Job Title: Chief Executive Officer

Location:
Abuja

Reports to: Board of Directors
General Summary


  • The CEO shall devote the bulk of the time, attention and

    abilities to the oversight for vision, strategy and running the

    secretariat of the Nigerian Women Trust Fund (WF).

  • The responsibilities include stakeholder management,

    communication and fundraising as well as delivering the broad

    goal specified in the WF’s planning framework as well as other

    associated functions as the organization may from time to time

    require.

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • Advanced degree, ideally an MBA, with at least 10 years of

    senior management experience and a track record of effectively

    leading a diverse staff and stakeholders who span local,

    regional and national interests and locations.

  • Past experience working with a Board of Directors with the

    ability to manage board member relationships and expectations

    will be a bonus.

  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse

    groups of people, passion for the core objectives of the WF,

    integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven and self-motivated

    also required.

  • The CEO should be able to promote a performance and

    outcomes-based organization and staff and have the ability to

    point to specific examples of having developed and

    operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to

    the next stage of growth.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:


  • This is a desk job that requires the CEO to report daily to

    the office as the head of the management team.

  • Proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management

    experience

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; a persuasive

    and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and

    multidisciplinary project skills

  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to

    coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set

    and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget

  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven

    program evaluation

  • Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising

    experience with the ability to engage a wide range of

    stakeholders and cultures

  • Project programming design abilities.

  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative

    approach to business planning

  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to the beliefs and goals of the

    Fund

Term of Service

Remuneration is competitive for the industry. The CEO will be

appointed for an initial term of two years with the opportunity

of renewal. A probation period of six months will be built into

the initial two-year contract.
