Position: Rector
Duties of the Rector
The Rector is the Chief Academic and Administration Officer of the Polytechnic. He is responsible for the Polytechnic Governing Council for ensuring the fulfillment of the objectives of the Polytechnic and for maintaining and promoting efficiency and good discipline.
Qualification and Experience
Candidates must possess at least a Masters Degree in Engineering, Technical Education or Science from a recognised University plus at least Eighteen (18) years Teaching and Administrative Experience.
Candidates should have a very good overall performance with a record of Academic and Administrative competence as a well as concrete evidence of contribution to the advancement to knowledge and service to community.
Possession of PhD, membership of Professional Bodies and Computer
Literacy will be an added advantage,
Terms of appointment
Successful Candidate shall be appointed for a term of four (4) years in the first INSTANCE and may be eligible for re-appointment for a second term of four (4) years.
Salary:
The salary for the position is consolidated and the appointee shall be paid other benefits as may be approved from time to time by Katsina state
