Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Company’s operations in Nigeria, as well as its joint venture businesses. He/she will provide leadership and direction to the activities of the Nigerian hub while ensuring the achievement of organizational goals and objectives. Specifically, the candidate will:
Co-ordinate the day-to-day operational activities of the Company’s operated and non-operated assets across the country.
Have responsibilities for asset management, well operations, facilities engineering, oil and gas production, pipeline operations as well as, oil gas trading activities.
Drive the development of annual operating plans including business plans, operational requirements, staffing and budgets within the framework set by the Group’s corporate mission, strategic plans and policies.
Develop the Company’s wholly-owned and operated projects and effectively influence the development of the group’s non-operated assets.
Take full responsibility and ownership of the Company’s PL, and monitor Key financial objectives and performance metrics.
Ensure adherence to international HSE standards in daily operations.
Liaise with local communities and ensure the existence of harmonious relationship with stakeholders.
Represent the Company in all Operation Committees (OPCOMs) of joint ventures.

Qualifications experience and attributes

Applicant must possess good first degree in Science/Engineering or any related discipline from a reputable institution.
Minimum of twenty (20) years1 post-qualification experience in upstream and/or midstream operations, with significant time spent in general management capacity within an E P Company.
Experience in managing a large workforce, liaising with stakeholders and contract negotiation is essential.
Proven track record in financial management
Strong strategic orientation and demonstrable leadership skills,
Good interpersonal and communication, negotiation and problem solving skills

In addition, eligible candidates for this position should possess:

Significant working experience in Nigeria
Excellent leadership, planning and organization, as well as, people management skills.
Excellent relationship management skills.

AIDS Prevention Initiative in Nigeria (APIN) is a non-governmental donor-funded organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, care and support of diseases of public health importance in Nigeria, including HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, among others. Since 2001, we have worked closely with key stakeholders, including donors, government agencies, university teaching hospitals and other non-governmental organizations to deliver qualitative interventions.

APIN’s goal is to reduce the burden and mitigate the impact of those diseases through cutting edge, innovative sustainable approaches. Our intervention activities span forty-two sites in ten states of the Federation and are coordinated from our offices in Abuja, Lagos and Ibadan.

As part of strategy to strengthen our internal capacity and improve our operations, we are inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the position of Director – Shared Services at our Abuja Office.

JOB FUNCTIONS
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director – Shared Services will oversee and lead the organization’s internal operations as well as coordinate the activities of the Shared Services departments, including finance, human resources, administration, procurement and information technology. The key tasks of the Director – Shared Services shall include the following:

- Develop and coordinate the implementation of organizational strategies and policies as well as monitor adherence to the strategic plan
- Coordinate all financial planning and management activities
- Plan the use of material and human resources of the Shared Services directorate
- Coordinate the overall daily office operations to ensure smooth and efficient running
- Oversee office information technology systems and work to improve same
- Oversee risk management and legal activities, including contract negotiations and vendor relationships
- Drive the development and management of the Shared Services budget
- Monitor and review operating costs and suggest cost saving measures
- Work with the human resources staff on hiring of personnel, running the performance management cycle and supporting the implementation of personnel policies
- Provide a strong day-to-day leadership presence for all staff

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
At least a second degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any of the relevant Social Sciences, with relevant professional certification(s); at least 20 years work experience, including 8 years or more in a senior management role in an international NGO or a blue-chip, for-profit organization, preferably with strong background in the management of shared services.

TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES
The ideal job holder is expected to possess the following competencies:
- Ability to build staff and organizational capacity by building a motivated workforce and developing effective processes that facilitate the smooth running of the organization
- Exceptional capacity for leading and managing people.
- Ability to identify and implement best practices
- Demonstrable ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience and wisdom

Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc is recruiting for Electrical Manager

JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL MANAGER- PROJECTS-(REF:EM 11)

THE JOB:
Reports to the Electrical Systems Manager. Plans, manages and executes all electrical project work in Flour Operations. Ensures timely delivery of all projects in line with established timelines and safety standards.

QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- COREN registered
- 5 O’ level credits inclusive of English Language and Mathematics

THE PERSON:
- Proactive, self motivated, target driven with good team leadership and coordination skills. Successful candidate must have strong IT skills and sound understanding of Health and Safety requirements within the food industry.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of seven (7) years ‘hands-on’ and management experience in electrical installation work within a continuous process industry, preferably the food industry.

The responsibilities of Inspector (Mechanical) include but are not limited to the following,

Provides inspection services for all static equipment with respect to equipment integrity, making sure that all repair work and modifications are done according to the necessary codes and specifications.
This includes in-service, and pre-commissioning inspection of pressure vessels, tanks and piping.
Witness and sign off of pressure tests on pressure vessels and piping.
Conduct and witness NDE examinations.

Inspector will have a Mechanical Engineering degree
Should have minimum 3 – 5 years industry experience.
API-510 and 570 certifications a plus.
Experience with taking thickness of wall readings, Visions data entry, NDE examinations, SERIP programs, Positive Material Identification (PMI) determination a plus.
Expect that individual would obtain over the initial 18 months – AWS-CWI certification and be working on EN-473 or ASNT-TC-1A Level II in Radiographic film interpretation, Ultrasonic Inspection (UT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT), Dye Penetrate Inspection (PT) and Visual Inspection (VT)

Provides plant engineering support to Maintenance and Plant Operations for rotating equipment including troubleshooting, design process and reliability improvements and Management of Change. High involvement with Plant rotating equipment performance and standards.
Promotes activities that improve equipment reliability and integrity.
Active participant with rotating equipment inspection and reliability programs.
Recommends equipment shutdown cycles to maintain integrity as well as meet regulatory requirements.
Keeps abreast of changes in Industry practices and Codes. Works with Corporate technology organizations in areas of machinery performance and reliability.
Modifications and Design – Active participant and reviewer of all MOC alterations involving rotating equipment or reliability considerations.
Designs, specifies modifications and repairs to rotating equipment and facilities.
Works with Regulatory Agencies to approve and/or adopt alternate inspection and monitoring techniques/requirements.

REQUIREMENTS: Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment)
Mechanical Engineer will have a degree in Engineering(mechanical).
Should have minimum 3 – 5 years industry experience.
Experience with pumps, compressors, expanders, generators, steam turbines and other rotating equipment a plus.
Experience with Bentley Nevada S1 and Emerson CSI Vibration Analysis Systems is a strong plus.
Looking for individuals with proven ability to learn technical and complex applications then apply. Will receive training in above systems where there is a shortfall. Looking to have individual obtain certification as ANST Level 1 Vibration Analyst or have equivalent knowledge and experience within 15 months.

The responsibilities of Construction Site Representative Position include but are not limited to the following:

Carry out all construction and fabrication supervision / monitoring activities required for the successful delivery of the Contracts assigned.
Comply with Company procedures and reporting requirements.
Implement Company HSE policies and Contract HSE requirement.
Participate in Job Hazard Analyses and Attend safety toolbox meetings on a regular basis with contractors’ work teams.
Assist in construct-ability reviews and the planning and scheduling of construction jobs.
Close Liaison with contractors and their sub-contractors, ensuring all permits to work are in place.
Monitor the overall progress of the contractors against schedule, providing reporting on same to line management, highlighting the potential for slippage and propose remedial actions and signing contractor daily reports.

Ensure that contractors maintain adequate records for all inspection and testing carried out.
Participate, with contractors’ staff and COMPANY Operations staff, in all pre- commissioning activities.

REQUIREMENTS: Offshore Construction Site Representative
Construction Site Representative will have extensive experience in offshore facilities construction work and offshore installation of platforms and pipeline laying as well as working on facilities expansions where simultaneous production and construction operations is required.
A good understanding of the relevant codes and standards for welding work and testing requirements for same is a prerequisite.
A reasonable understanding of E I construction and testing works.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential, for dealing with a broad spectrum of cultural and organisational styles, as well as being able to fit in as a team player.
Fit and fully mobile, so as to maintain the supervision at the various locations where activities related to the work will be carried out.
A self starter, able to plan and work his own way forwards at locations remote from COMPANY project engineering and engineering management staff.
Proven experience of supervising and coordinating the activities of a team of a multi-discipline construction supervision team.
Good communication and team building skills at all levels – able to lead and gain the respect of contractor and 3rd parties.
Must be resourceful with the ability to improvise / prioritise when confronted with obstacles without loosing focus and attention to detail.
Must be able to exercise relevant construction / installation judgement ensuring success of the assigned projects.
Proven track record in managing multicultural situations.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Pipeline Engineer
The responsibilities of Senior Pipeline Engineer position include but are not limited to the following:

To act as a focal point/technical authority for pipeline engineering questions throughout the engineering design, construction and installation phases of Company’s pipeline projects, most of which are offshore.
To provide pipeline engineering input to other disciplines to assure that design outputs are consistent.
To act as Company authority for the review of the pipeline aspects of Design Bases, design drawings, specifications, installation procedures, etc. http://www.naijajobslink.com
To act as required as the Company representative (pipelines) to ensure that design work by contractors meets Company standards and relevant industry codes
To monitor the performance of design contractors and suggest remedial actions to avoid design deficiencies and installation delays.
To assist Company resident and/or project engineers with the pipeline engineering aspects of Facilities design.
To assist construction and commissioning teams with field questions encountered during installation (e.g. as related to pipe laying, risers, tie-ins, hydrotesting, welding, etc.)
To initiate and coordinate tasks needed for project execution including surveys, permitting or government reviews, material specification, installation procedures, testing, etc.
To participate in HAZOP’s and other key design reviews.
To assist in the development Nigerian  pipeline engineers.
Key Performance Indicators/ Performance Goals:

Zero LTIs
On time delivery of work-scope
Maintain up to date and accurate data relating to seabed surveys, pipeline routings, etc.

REQUIREMENTS: Pipeline Engineer
Minimum twenty (20) years relevant experience with an oil industry design and fabrication contractor.
Must have worked as a pipeline engineer/senior pipeline engineer for an Operator, and have been involved in both onshore and offshore projects.
Must be used to working in a multi-discipline environment
Must have worked in an expatriate situation for at least five (5) years.
Good understanding of project management controls and procedures.
Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of consistency and accuracy.
Solid working knowledge of oil and gas industry pipeline engineering codes and standards with emphasis on API standards
Have thorough knowledge of the pipelining aspects of the design of onshore and offshore oil production facilities
Have the ability to utilise common software for analysis of pipeline design, installation and operating issues.
To provide input to Front End/Conceptual Engineering studies with respect to pipeline design, installation and operating issues.
Provide input to Integrity Management and Planned Maintenance planning
To be the custodian of the company database for pipeline data as it pertains to company assets
Sound understanding of HSES management systems and the application thereof, particularly with respect to design integrity and safety.
Ability to manage interfaces both internally and externally with contractors
Apt reporting skills with the ability to write well structured and easily understood reports
Able to prepare and deliver effectively presentations for information dissemination both internally to management and externally to 3rd parties
Fluent spoken and written English.

Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Project, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint).
