We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client within the Nigerian Marine sector for DPA.
We are keen to receive CV’s from qualified candidates within marine who are available to start soon with valid certificates.
Role Responsibilities
Organizing, monitoring and conducting internal audits
Verify and monitor all safety and pollution prevention activities in the operation of each ship
Evaluation and review of the effectiveness of the safety management system (SMS)
Responsible for all shipboard certifications, processes and audits
Ensuring that vessels meet the minimum requirements based on SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW and MLC2006.
To supervise surveys (including annuals, intermediate, docking, IWS, Loadline,
Safety equipment, safety construction).
Reporting and analysis of non-conformities, accidents and hazardous occurrences
Ensuring revisions to the SMS and ensuring that adequate resources and shore based support are provided.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Marine Compliance.
Qualifications and sea-going experience as a certified ship officer to STCW,1978 or as amended is an added advantage
BSc, HND in a relevant field of Management, Engineering or Physical Science
