Position: Agriculture Officer

The Agriculture Officer is responsible for directing the implementation of agricultural and rural development projects. The Agriculture Officer will be directly under the supervision of the Agriculture Deputy Program Manager. He/ She will be responsible in supporting the

Agriculture Program manager for planning and implementing the activities according to the project’s outline. The incumbent will assist in proposing solutions and improvements concerning the project’s progress under the guidance and direct supervision of the Agriculture Deputy Program Manager.



Summary of Key Objectives:
•    Provide support to the Agriculture Deputy Program Manager to implement the program successfully
•    Facilitate coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the Agriculture activities
•    Facilitate community mobilisation activities to support targeting and registration of beneficiaries and improved Agriculture Knowledge
•    Ensure the proper HR management of the field based Agriculture team
•    Represent ACF externally in relevant LGA level forums and technical working groups
•    The Agro Officer must be flexible and adaptable with regards to the implementation of the daily work/activities
•    Conduct all duties in a professional manner following ACF Nigeria mission staff regulations, ACF mandate and charter

Qualifications;
Degree in agronomy, horticulture, other relevant fields and previous work experience

Essential Skills & Experience:  
•    Analytical capacity
•    Capacity to supervise a team
•    Good relational qualities –
•    Good knowledge of  techniques and agricultural production systems
•    Computer knowledge (Word, Excel)


Preferred
•    Good knowledge of the intervention area/s and local economy
•    Previous experience with ACF
•    Previous humanitarian programming experience
•    Capacity to write high quality reports
•    Previous team management and activate planning experience


Position: Base Logistics Assistant​

Following the directions of the Base Logistician, the Assistant Logistician will follow-up and support the receipt, storage, accounting and reporting of all items received, dispatched and stored in the warehouse(s) in collaboration with the store keeper. He/She Supervise the follow-up of construction works contracts, manage suppliers while delivering goods and services.

Summary of Key Objectives:
•    Support the Base Logistician in management of the logistics supply chain
•    Provide Logistics support to Programme activities
•    Manage all logistics activities in Potiskum Sub-base
•    Security
•    General Logistics Support 

Qualifications;
National Diploma (OND) in Business Management or any other equivalent course 

Essential Skills & Experience:  
•    IT/Excel literate
•    2 years logistics or procurement work experience

Preferred
•    Highly motivated, and flexible.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills
•    Previous experience working with local/international NGO
•    Good interpersonal skills
