Job Title: SPP&ID Administrator



Job Location: Lagos


  • To setup and lead the process Designer team during project

    execution in developing the SmartPlant P&IDs (SPPID)

    deliverables for a project, including interface with SPI, SP

    3D, SP Electrical administrators, other disciplines and the

    client, advise on design integrity issues relating to

    discipline engineering.

  • Responsible for the implementation, training, support,

    maintenance and handover of SPPID application.

  • Hierarchically and functionally reports to Process

    Discipline Head.

  • Diversified design experience, particularly with typical

    engineering/construction projects, and strong supervisory and

    excellent computer skills.


Main responsibilities:



Implementation and customization of the SPPID data base

(SmartPlant P&ID);

Train process designers in the utilization of the SPPID

application;

Generate through the SPPID data base engineering documents like

P&ID ensuring schedule and quality;

Setup/customize SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID) projects as per

client/project requirements, including customization of

symbology, report running and customization, procedure writing

and coordination;

Coordination with IT department to ensure SPPID database

implementation;

Coordination with P&ID designer lead to receive all

necessary data for SPPID customization;

Interface/coordination with SmartPlant (SP) Instrumentation, SP

3D, SP Electrical administrators;

Produce setup documentation detailing the SPPID setup;

Develop detailed project work instructions for users;

Develop detailed Quality Check instructions for users;

Produce documentation detailing the SPPID data base change

during the project life;

Maintain the SPPID reference database for projects including

transfers, data extraction reports, data integrity, etc.

including the customization of reports and database back-up as

per project requirements;

Audit SPPID projects to ensure projects integrity and proper

system operation all along the project life;

Set up maintenance programs to be run (delete orphan items,

repair relationship command, constraint report, etc.);

Set up for publishing to SmartPlant Foundation;

Trouble-shoot and solve P&ID problems to ensure project

integrity; Cad centers support during P&ID execution

Interface with P&ID designer leads, discipline leads,

projects managers on projects;

Provide assistance to P&ID designer leads to optimize the

use of SPPID software;

Identify and provide specific training for new project members

in cooperation with the P&ID designer lead;

Maintain Company knowledge about new INTERGRAPH development and

SPPID version updates;

Prepare database for client turnover;

Train local personnel as super users to back up the

administrator during R&Rs.

  • Effective technical and practical process design and

    drafting skills ability to consistently deliver quality,

    accurate and timely work to WorleyParsons and its clients.

  • Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

  • Competent skills in design software.

  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.


Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training



Required:

A recognised and relevant design qualification or

equivalent.
