As a result of expansion and repositioning, the Group is sourcing for bright and highly driven individuals with groundswell training, education and experience in the following job vacancies for our upcoming BUA Pasta Plant, located at Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos.

Vacancy Title No.1: Manager, Purchasing – Ref: 0001

The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate shall be responsible for:

Control and administration of purchasing activitiesProcessing of all purchase requisitionsCo-ordination of management’s approval for purchase of consumablesNegotiating and purchasing materials that meet specified quality and quantity at optimal costMaintaining an optimum re-order level of stock items and ensure no over-stock and stock-out situationPlanning and implementation of material request to accord with mill operations while maintaining an effective inventory control system to enhance good working capital.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years relevant working experience, preferably obtained in the food and beverage industry.Candidates must be computer literate

Vacancy Title No.2: Manager, Warehouse – Ref: 0002

The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Warehouse Manager shall be responsible for:

Efficient warehouse operations and accurate record keeping of stock position Good house-keeping practice (GMP)Coordinating product storage and consistent stock management and controlMonitoring and receiving products from mill and prepare store receipts notesProper labelling of products and conducting stock count exercise as required.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years relevant working experience, preferably obtained in the food and beverage industry.Candidates must be computer literate

Vacancy Title No.3: Manager, Silo – Ref: 0003

The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the preferred candidate shall be responsible for:

Controlling and managing the inventory levels within the silosControlling the filling and emptying of silos, vessels discharge activities and the loading and dispatch of bulk grain vehicles destined for other mills

Vacancy Title No.4: Manager, Maintenance – Ref: 0004

The Role
Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate shall be responsible for:

Planning and implementation of equipment maintenance strategies to meet milling and allied operationsSupervising the maintenance crew in the execution of their daily tasks.Effective documentation of equipment and facilities for good monitory information and asset care managementPlanning and implementation of maintenance requirement and costing in relation to maintenance plan and budget

Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree (second class honours) or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or polytechnic.Candidates must be computer literate

Vacancy Title No.5: Manager, Quality Control – Ref: 0005

The Role

The Quality Control Manager shall report to the General Manager and be responsible for:Monitoring and controlling of the testing program of raw materials and manufacturing process and equipment in conformity with stipulated standardMonitoring and controlling the testing programmes of finished goods, enforcing and maintaining standards at all timAttend to consumer and public complaints on product quality and liaise with government regulatory bodies on matters relating to product quality and environment.Supervise microbiological test and housekeeping/GMP programmesWork in collaboration with Human Resources and other unit heads to formalize all plant activities/procedures across all business areas.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years relevant working experience, preferably obtained in the food and beverage industryCandidates must be computer literate

Vacancy Title No.6: Manager, Financial Control – Ref: 0006

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the required candidate must be a qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years post-chartered industry experience.The preferred candidate shall be responsible for:Prepare monthly financial position and quarterly statementsEstablish system controls for financial systems and procedures to improve existing systemsUndertake the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses and insurance recordsDirect internal audit and work with external auditors in the preparation of FYEsBe involved in the preparation of General Ledger for internal and external purposes and assist in the preparation of quarterly/yearly expenditure budget

Requirements

Candidates must be qualified Chartered Accountants with requisite experience and in addition to possession of a first degree from a recognised university or polytechnic.Candidates must be computer literate

Vacancy Title No.7: Manager, HR – Ref: 0007

The Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the HR Manager shall be responsible for the following HR schedules of the plant:

Development of the Human Resources department, recruitment, staff development and trainingPerformance management, appraisals, compensation and benefits administrationEmployee relations; regulatory and statutory compliancePolicy development and documentationCompany employee and community communicationDevelopment of an employee-oriented company culture emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development

Vacancy Title No.8: Management Trainees – Ref: 0008

Requirements
Our ideal candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

2nd class honours degree from a recognised university or upper credit from a polytechnic, in any of the sciences, engineering, social sciences, finance and business administrationNot more than 28 years of age.Possess a National Youth service discharge certificateMust be computer literateMust be a strong team player5 credits O’ level passes including Mathematics and English Language at not more than two sittings
