Position: Director, Off Site Supervision

Academic Requirements

Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Finance, Insurance, Accounting, Actuarial ScienceS/he must possess relevant professional qualification e.g. ACA, CITN, CIIN, ACCAIn addition, candidate must have a minimum of twenty (20) years cognate experience with at least 5 years in senior management position in the financial services sector.Experience as a thought-leader as demonstrated through distinguished services in relevant associations, committees, etc.Relevant industry experience is a must, along with knowledge of outstanding global and local practices

Technical Requirements

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the supervision through the team with respect to any regulatory tools used in dealing with issues of non-compliance, and conducting meetings held with company officials to obtain information to facilitate this.Candidates should have exceptional analytical and communication skills (both written and oral) and highly developed team leadership and mentoring skillsThe post holder will be accountable for contributing to the development and implementation of new or revised policy and/or legislative initiatives.This role involves establishing strong relationships with the most senior levels of management within the organisation, the sector’s operators and other regulators as well as working directly with the Chief Executive Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing criteria for authorization of member organisationsS/he will oversee the development of appropriate policies that will serve as the bedrock for the organisationS/he will oversee the development of procedures to support the developed policies and ensure enforcement of such policiesS/he will provide coaching, mentoring and leadership for the subordinatesS/he must possess exceptional analytical and communication skills (both written and oral) and highly developed team leadership and mentoring skills.
