We have developed ‘JewelSuite™‘ – a highly innovative workflow application that integrates geological modeling and reservoir simulation on a Windows platform, GMI’s suite of products for geomechanical problem solving, and the MFrac – the world’s leader in hydraulic fracturing simulation software.

Technical Sales and Support Engineer for Nigeria – based in Lagos, Nigeria

Job Summary: Under broad direction, utilize technical expertise to assist sales team in selling Baker Hughes’ software products and achieve market penetration.
Profile
Positive, energetic and confident technical sales/support engineer, comfortable with introducing new technologies in the E&P domain to clients in new markets.
5 – 10 years of technical software support and/or technical sales support experience in the oil and gas industry.
Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
Preferred: A bachelors degree in petroleum/res engineering or geology
Ability to work well in a team situation and independently when required.
You will be responsible for Technical Sales Support in Nigeria, and:
Develop and deliver software demonstrations in a variety of situations: client meetings, lunch and learns, seminars, trade shows.
Match our technical and commercial capabilities to customer needs, through developing a clear understanding of customer’s business & technical issues and work with sales team to develop most effective strategies for selling company products.
Work with local and regional sales staff to effectively promote and sell our products.
Work with our business partners to develop value added offerings to the market that enhance our selling opportunities.
This job can involve some traveling and periods away from the home base.

Education/Experience/Training: Two year Technical Degree preferred. Industry experience and productline training required.
Skills/Knowledge: Competent in running multiple applications in one product line in theIntelligent Production Systems Product Group. General knowledge ofdrilling and completion techniques and drilling/work over rigoperations. Good mechanical aptitude. Ability to work well andcommunicate well with others.
Duties/Responsibilities: Under general supervision develops and applies skills required to runapplications of increasing complexity in one product line in theIntelligent Production Systems Product Group. Provides front-linesupport with customer and accurately completes all paperwork prior to orupon completion of job. Conducts all business activities in accordancewith Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and BakerHughes Core Values.

Skills/Knowledge: Problem-solving skills. Familiar with order entry software and processes. Knowledge of principles, concepts, theories and practices of field. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties/Responsibilities: Receives, reviews, and enters customer orders. Facilitates resolution of inquiries and customer concerns related to the order delivery process. Coordinates transfer of slow moving inventory within distribution system. May deal with multiple product line(s) and handle multiple or single entity support. Handles special projects, as assigned
