Our client is a growing company making great strides in the Insurance Industry dealing in General Insurance.
We are currently looking to recruit a suitable, qualified, and experienced individual to join our team as an I.T. Manager.
ROLE OBJECTIVE
Is to establish and implement an efficient and effective network and I.T. infrastructure to deliver exceptional service to our customers. To head the successful implementation of the Premia product (General Insurance Software) throughout the organization
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
* A Bachelors degree in Computer Science with Oracle/Commerce (Insurance option).
* Oracle certification a must.
* Experience and working knowledge of Oracle software a must.
* Possess a strong understanding of software implementation principals and practices.
* Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in the Insurance Industry.
* Insurance underwriting knowledge and experience of insurance software applications.
* Ability to perform software implementation tasks in a professional and effective manner.
* Programming proficiency in known programming languages (Java, VB, C++, PHP etc)
* Knowledge in hardware & network infrastructure (configuring networks).
* Server Administration (Proficiency in Windows Server 2003/2008 & Windows Exchange).
* Database Administration.
* Web design and web hosting.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
* To head the successful implementation and running of the Premia (General Insurance Software) product throughout the organisation.
* Create and update technical documentation including designing of documentation and installation instructions.
* Establish policies and procedures to ensure integrity and quality of the project is maintained
* Make recommendations to enhance and co ordinate implementation activities and standards to be used for the software implementation throughout the Company
* To provide advice and training to end users of the product.
* Oversee the administration and maintenance of the Company’s IT infrastructure.
* Oversee troubleshooting, systems backups archiving and disaster recovery and to provide expert support when necessary.
* To advice management on reports that will be helpful for the growth of business and advice on proper reporting standards.
* To monitor day to day transactions and advice the management on resource planning based on the requirement.
