Reports To: Head of Unit, Health Systems Strengthening
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Duration: Full Time
Project Background
The premise of the CORE Group Partners Project (CGPP) is to work through existing networks of international and local NGOs with established child survival activities in high risk areas of priority countries.
Summary of Primary Functions:
Specific duties will include:
Program managementBudget ManagementPartnership, representation and networking.Training and MentoringQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a health discipline.A master’s degree in public health or a related discipline will be an added advantage.Minimum of 5 years working experience with at least 3 years working in public health involving immunization programs and community level work with significant program management responsibilities. Experience in polio programming will be an added advantage.Demonstrated ability to manage a public health project, including working with government authorities.Proven experience working with and through partner organizations including the public sector.Knowledge of the local languages in Yobe state- Kanuri and Hausa is a requirement.Knowledge of the local terrain in Yobe state will be an added advantage.Excellent English language- oral and written communication skills.Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Ability to interface with multiple stakeholders, representatives, and partners in a professional manner on an ongoing basis.Experience with participatory planning and evaluation methods preferred.Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time to Yobe state.Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.How to Apply:
