Our client (located in Abuja), a professional firm providing audit, tax and advisory services is in search of a Senior Associate.
Job Position: Senior Associate, Audit & AdvisoryReports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)Supervises: Audit and Advisory Professional StaffPrincipal Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo lead execution of Audit and Advisory transactions and review reports written by Staff and trainees of the firmTo plan for engagements by preparing planning memos, prepare and review engagement letters, review minutes and ensure proper filingTo provide support on the business development activities in the areas of preparing and making presentations, anchoring client meetings, documenting issues, pitching clients; identifying gaps and cross selling opportunitiesTo prepare final reports for Partners review and effect review pointsTo appraise staff/trainees on engagement basis and submit evaluations on quarterly basis to the ManagementTo ensure that client files contain all the information pre-, during and post – audit and advisory correspondencesTo prepare and make presentations to clients on relevant issues in the course of engagementsTo co-ordinate the activities of the audit and advisory staff on- and off – engagementsTo ensure that staff are adequately allocated to transactions and ensure reduction of controllable idle time to the minimumMinimum of Second class Upper First degree from a reputable UniversityAssociate Chartered Accountant4-5 years cognate experience from reputable Audit and Consulting firmsMust be resident in AbujaHas analytical mind and can conduct financial analysisCompetency and Skill RequirementsExcellent knowledge of the Accounting profession, financial and capital markets industry including regulations, legislations and operating environmentAbility to interpret and determine the potential business impact and emerging business opportunities of micro and macroeconomic indicesAbility to train and motivate subordinatesStrong business acumen and ability to identify and convert business opportunitiesGood networking and relationship building skills.
