Accountant

Job Description

    Achieve accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.    Meet accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.    Confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data.    Maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts.    Defining accounting policies and procedures.    Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy, applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.    Maintain financial security by establishing internal controls.    Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.    Disbursement of checks for company expenses.    Payroll management, including tabulation of accrued employee benefits.

Job Requirements

    A good OND, HND or B.Sc in accounting with 3 years experience.    Applicants that resides along Lagos Island, Obalande and Yaba axis will be preferred.

Skills:

    Problem analysis and solving    Good communication skill both verbal and writing    Good knowledge and use of Accounting software such as Excel, Peachtree, Sage e.t.c    Excellent negotiating skill    Confident and poised in interactions with individuals at various levels
