Operations Manager (Manufacturing Plant)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for managing different projects for the company as requiredOversee the development, implementation and management of annual Operations PlanPlan, organize, direct, and inspect the work of reporting staff.Overseeing and managing Fleet and Logistics contracts as requiredSupervise and coordinates the activities of Contractors and Employees in achieving agreed SLAPlan and manage projects within the budgetsProvide detailed reports on various project statusInvolved in the development and implementation of project strategiesResponsible for developing and implementation of systems and procedures for the smooth and efficient running of the organizations' operations.Ensure that all work is done in accordance with the relevant specifications, regulations and standards.Managing teams to ensure that service delivery meets company’s needs and expectationsResponsible for continuous improvement on service delivery and ensure that contracts are managed to deliver value, on time and within the budget.Oversee the execution of maintenance schedule in line with the SLA’s with the vendors.Directly involved in vendor managementDefine specifications for special contract items as requiredEnsure regular comparative analysis of costs for required goods and services to achieve maximum value for moneyPlan for future development in line with Organization strategic objectives.Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and movement of client goods from location of origin to their destinationsProviding and maintaining interpersonal and diplomatic relationship with third parties like insurance companies and all relevant governmental organizationsWork with the logistics/transport unit to oversee the coordination of transportation and ensures structures are in placePlan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirementsDirect activities of staff performing repairs and maintenance to equipment, vehicles and facilitiesPromote safe work activities by working with the HSE unit in conducting safety activities, attending company safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff membersPrepare monthly budgets and ensure spending is within budget limit.

Requirements

Degree in Business Management/Administration or any other relevant disciplineAn MBA is an advantageRelevant professional qualificationMembership of relevant professional bodies is a plus.Minimum of 6 years experience in a similar role.
