Job description

The services sales specialist is responsible for driving the attach of both client and enterprise services within the BU. These services include the following: Business Support and Business Help Desk Services, Complete Care, After Point of Sales Warranty extensions, Custom Factory installation, Extended Warranty services, installation services and Enterprise Support services like Platinum and Gold.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing Work

Revenue – The Services Sales Specialist is responsible for the Services Goals, which will be made up of Client and Enterprise Services.  The Services Sales Specialist will take responsibility for delivering against the overall services number. The quarterly goals will be agreed with the Solutions Manager.Pipeline Management –The services sales specialist will be responsible for managing the overall services pipeline. A primary role will be to ensure that all relevant services are proposed during the bid phase of a project. a.      Sales Engagement – The services sales specialist will present on behalf of sales on the key service offerings. He or she will also be responsible for assisting with the development of service proposals or service elements within a proposal.b.      Programs -  The services sales specialist will be responsible for launching new services offering in the country. He or she will be responsible for training the sales force, working with marketing to ensure that offer is clearly communicated and priced, and with services and professional services to ensure that we or the partners can deliver the appropriate services in a consistent and professional manner.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS A flexible, self-motivated and goal oriented approach Strong business awareness and customer focus Excellent communication skills at all levels (from engineers to senior executives) Proven track record of selling services or similar products Strong planning skill, exhibiting clear and logical thinking Strong time management skills with the ability to organise and manage priorities Integrity in all business dealings Senior Services position - requires at least 10 years experience within the IT industry, a significant part of this time should relate to services activities. Experience and understanding of IT technologies and services, including Enterprise (servers & storage deployments and consultancy) & client (notebook and desktop.) Experience in large account management, alliances partner management or other relationship activities preferred. Strong ability to motivate and work with 3rd parties Able to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations. Degree or equivalent, with experience in service product management or related field Process reengineering/BPI knowledge
