Concrete Batch Plant Operator Ref n°LCW-RM-CBP
JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Plant & Production Supervisor

1. Observe and follow Health & Safety Rules and Policies at all times, ensuring all other persons working in and around the batching plant do the same.

2. With Plant Helper, carry out pre-start up checks ensuring all guards are in place and that the plant is safe to operate before commencing the shift.

3. Communicate and issue instructions to all subordinate staff.

4. Batch quality concrete within specification, bringing to the Plant Supervisors immediate attention any significant variances in the batching and general performance of the plant.

5. Monitor, review all plant stock levels on a regular basis. Communicate continuously with Shipping and sales department as to the requirements for the following day.

6. Complete daily plant checklist together with preventative maintenance measures. Notify Plant & Production Supervisor or Shipping dep of any breakdowns, mechanical issues or any other required repairs as soon as they occur.

7. Communicate with the Shipping dep regarding the batching programme to ensure jobs are done on time, in the correct order and into the correct vehicle.

8.Re-mix /redirect concrete as per company procedure.

9.Utilize transport fleet as effectively as possible.

10.Assist the helpers with general housekeeping and the mechanics with maintenance duties.

Concrete PUMP Operator ( With D/L ) Ref n°LCW-RM-CPO
JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Production Supervisor
Subordinates: Pump Helper

1. Observe and follow Health & Safety Rules and Policies at all times, ensuring all other persons working in and around the Pump Truck do the same.
2. Carry out daily checks on vehicle maintenance log sheet whilst maintaining the truck in a clean and serviceable condition; notify the Plant & Production Supervisor of any defects or safety concerns.
3. Deploy and operate pump as per manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Place concrete in line with the customer requirement and within the capability of the equipment.
5. Assist Drivers in discharging concrete into pump.

Wheel Loader Operator Ref n°LCW-RM-WLO
JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Plant & Production Supervisor

2. Observe and follow Health & Safety Rules and Policies at all times, ensuring all other persons working in and around the batching plant do the same.
3. Complete daily checklist reporting of any defects to Plant Supervisor immediately and recording such defects on the sheet. Carry out daily greasing and light maintenance on the loading shovel as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Ensure the machine is operated in a safe manner as per the manufactures instructions observing site speed limit restrictions at all times.
5. Ensure correct materials are delivered/ loaded and are kept in the correct aggregate storage bay, totally separated so as to prevent cross contamination.
6. Inspect incoming materials for quality and quantity, reporting any anomalies to Plant Supervisor immediately.
7. Ensure correct material is loaded into the correct concrete batching plant aggregate bin.
8. Manage wash pits, waste concrete bays and water system.

Plant Helper Ref n°LCW-RM-PTH
JOB DESCRIPTION

Reports to: Plant & Production Supervisor

1. Observe and follow Health & Safety Rules and Policies at all times, ensuring all other persons working in and around the batching plant do the same.
2) With Batcher carry out pre start up checks making sure all guards are in place and that the plant is safe to operate before commencing the shift.
3) Regular cleaning of batching plant, yard and associated equipment maintaining a high level of housekeeping at all times.
4) Communicate with drivers on loading sequence and other requirements.
5) Assist in the safe delivery of water, admix etc. Making sure the correct material is delivered into the correct vessel.
6) Assist the Batcher Plant operator in completing the daily plant checklist together with preventative maintenance measures. Notify Plant & Production Supervisor or Shipping Dep of any breakdowns, mechanical issues or any other required repairs as soon as they occur.
7) Cleaning and maintaining welfare facilities.

PUMP HELPER(Ready Mix) Ref n°LCW-RM-PUM

Laboratory Technicians Ref n°LCW-RM-LAB

Reports to: Quality Senior Laboratory Technician

1. To sample concrete on in the plant and on the customer’s sites and carry out tests on the plastic concrete i.e. correct sampling method, slump testing, flow table testing and manufacture of test cubes.

2. Sampling of aggregates for testing and observation and recording of site practice in both terms of driver and pump operators and site personnel.

3. Good command of the English language in terms of speaking and writing it clearly and legibly.

4. To observe the quality of all materials for use in concrete production.

5. To check for signs of contamination when on plant.

6. Carry out sampling and testing of concrete and aggregates. Ensure that testing is carried out to the contract specification and relevant standards

3.Maintain Accurate and Reliable General Ledger for the Plant in a timely manner
