A premium beverages multinational is hiring a National Manager to drive their business in Nigeria.
Reporting to the Market Manager - Greater Nigeria, the National Manager will be responsible to propose and implement sales strategy for all channels across the various brands (on trade, wholesalers and modern trade) and cover the whole regions/key cities through direct implication and management/control of a decentralized team across the Nigerian market. Leading a team of 4 direct reports who in turn manage a team of 12. You will Develop, motivate and coach the team; ensure the objectives definition, performance evaluation, management and control of travel & entertainment budget application, route cycle, reporting, etc. Define sales strategy to increase market share and profitability. Ensure quality of selective distribution, trade inventory level, retail price positioning to drive growth, volumes objectives achievement and profitability. In coordination with marketing teams, elaborate the Trade Marketing Plan, ensure its development & implementation and follow up of activation plans for each customer in order to strengthen the image of the brands while developing loyalty with key customers. In coordination with marketing team, ensure BTL A&P budget by brand is properly used in selected accounts, leveraging the portfolio to block competition
Business Administration, Marketing or similar degree. Ideally graduated from a top universityAt least 7-8 years commercial and marketing experience within a consumer goods/FMCG or luxury goods organizationA previous experience in Europe and in Africa would be a differentialBuilds effective relationships up, down and across the organizationAbility to navigate in a less structured environmentStrong team management skills
