NPD Project Manager
All Business Units – Lagos
The successful candidate will be required to: · Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver an agreed set of project outcomes in line with business strategy.
· Provide leadership for the Project Teams to ensure project delivery on time, in terms of quality and budget.
· Understand and challenge brand strategy/pipeline and apply consistent processes across all brands.
· Effectively network internally/externally, develop and utilise relationships and support strategic supply partners, 3rd Party /sister operating units and component suppliers as appropriate.
· Ensure continuous improvement, lead change and challenge convention where appropriate to ensure the NPD process is fit for business requirements.
· Engage the relevant PZ category network leaders where required / requested.
· Work as part of a PZ Network and Super User Group to provide support or lead wider business initiatives.
· Professionally represent PZ Cussons by demonstrating behaviours aligned to our CANDO Principles.
· Ensure full participation in 1:1’s / 360 processes to develop and maintain Winning Team behaviours.
The right candidate must possess:
· A B.Sc./HND in Marketing, Business Admin., Economics or any other related field.
· A minimum of 5 years work experience in NPD (broad business experience will be very important).
· A high degree of commercial acumen with a playing-to-win attitude for excellent delivery of initiatives in respect to time, cost and quality; through demonstrating creative and innovative ways of working.
· Exposure to and experience of a number of business functions such as Marketing, Finance, Production, Sales and Planning would be advantageous in order to demonstrate understanding and empathy with cross functional teams responsible for delivering projects.
· Project Management qualification which would be useful but not essential (it would be important that the job holder has experience of leading cross functional teams).
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to demonstrate a collaborative way of working both within PZC cross functional teams and our 3rd party partners and suppliers.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as there will be regular exposure to and working with both the PZCN board as well as people at all levels
