Qualified Personnel Wanted at The U.S. Pharmacopeial convention (USP)

The U.S. Pharmacopeial convention (USP) is seeking qualified candidates to fill the following positions in Lagos:

CHIEF OF PARTY – NIGERIS, USP PQM

REPORTS TO: Regional Manager, Africa Programs, USP PQM Rockville MD USA

REQUIREMENTS

v  PhD in a relevant field such as Pharmacy, Chemistry, Social Research, Project Management, International Development or International Business

v  Not less than 10 years related work experience supervising multiple projects with progressively increasing responsibility in a management position

v  Effective record of building relationships with governmental organizations as well as private and community associations

v  Fluent in English

v  Experience in managing complex programs related to good governance

v  Proficiency in human resources and project management as well as in strategic planning

v  Leadership skills in managing complex programs

v  Deep understanding of the political and social context in Nigeria

v

PHARMACEUTICAL GMP CONSULTANT

REPORTS TO: Chief of Party, USP PQM Nigeria

REQUIREMENTS

v  Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Pharmacy or related field; a higher degree will be an advantage

v  Relevant experience in the GMP in the Pharmaceutical industry or regulatorey environments

v  Some experience in the establishing compliance with quality systems within pharmaceutical manufacturing companies

v  Knowledge of and experience with the WHO pre-qualification of medicines program will be considered a plus

v  Experience working within a GMP regulated quality control laboratory is also an advantage

REGULATORY ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT

REPORTS TO: Chief of Party – Nigeria, USP PQM

REQUIREMENTS

v  Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Chemistry

v  Relevant work experience in the food, medicines or drug regulatory area within the pharmaceutical industry

v  Experience in project development and implementation

v  Relevant work experience within government medicines regulatory agencies a plus

v  Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations; familiarity of WHO pre-qualification program or good manufacturing requirements

v  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

v  Ability to influence without direct authority

v  Ability to desire to work well diverse employees and customers in a corporate and friendly manner

v  Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT CONSULTANT

REPORTS TO: Chief of Party – Nigeria, USP PQM

REQUIREMENTS

v  Bachelor’s degree in Administration

v  Bachelor of Science degree in any field with experience working in an office administration position may also be considered

v  1 – 2 years experience in office administration working with multiple staff

v  Strong communication and interpersonal skills

v  Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, database management and internet search

v  Excellent spelling and grammar skills

v  Highly organized with good time management skills, ability to set priorities and attention to detail knowledge of pharmaceutical industry language a plus
