SENIOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST – Sokoto, Bauchi

REQUIREMENTS

v  University degree in Communication or related Social Science field with substantial experience in advocacy and policy development/research in the development context

v  Good understanding for the possibilities and tactics for influencing decision and policy makers, politicians, donors and other key actors

v  Knowledge of the media and its role in raising awareness and shaping public policy

v  Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrable ability to think strategically, innovatively and practically

v  Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences at local, state and national levels

GRANTS SUPPORT OFFICER – Sokoto, Bauchi

REQUIREMENTS

v  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or its equivalent

v  Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Access and competency in development of spreadsheets and databases

v  Strong written and verbal communication skills

v  Substantial management experience of which 3 years are with non-profit sector and managing institutional donor contracts such as DFID, EC, ECHO, USAID

v  Proven experience in developing guidelines and formats to support staff

v  Experience of managing or supporting programs in each stage of the project cycle, including development of funding proposals, budgeting and financial monitoring

COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION SPECIALISTS – Sokoto, Bauchi

REQUIREMENTS

v  University degree in Communication or related Social Science field with substantial experience in advocacy and policy development/research in the development context

NUTRITION CO-ORDINATOR (SPRING) – Kaduna

REQUIREMENTS

v   Master’s degree or equivalent work experience in the field of nutrition, health or development

v  Experience working with an international NGO is an advantage

v  Strong computer skills in MS office packages and strong organizational /communication skills

v  Ability to assess priorities and handle multiple task simultaneously

v  Must be able to work independently and manage various projects in a team setting

AWARDS COORDINATOR – Kaduna

REQUIREMENTS

v  Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or its equivalent

v  Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Access and competency in development of spreadsheets and databases

v  Strong written and verbal communication skills

v  3 – 5 years prior NGO experience with excellent interpersonal skills

v  Ability to work proactively  and flexibly alongside a wide range of team members

v  Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills

v  Excellent computer literacy

v  Knowledge and experience of developing administrative systems with strong numeracy skills and experience of tracking and monitoring budgets

SYSTEMS AND COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION SPECIALISTS – Sokoto (X10)

REQUIREMENTS

v  University degree in Communication or related Social Science field with substantial experience in advocacy and policy development/research in the development context

v  Good understanding for the possibilities and tactics for influencing decision and policy makers, politicians, donors and other key actors

FINANCE OFFICER – Abuja

REQUIREMENTS

v  B. sc/HND or equivalent in Finance/Accounts/Business Administration

v  A professional certificate in Accounting or Finance will be an advantage

v  Experience in working with partners accountable for grants and other financial support provided to implement project activities, particularly at community level

v  Excellent communication skills with a high level of IT expertise (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

CHILD PROTECTION IN EMERGENCIES COORDINATOR – Gombe

REQUIREMENTS

v  University degree in Law, Political Sciences or related field

v  Good knowledge of international refugee, human rights and humanitarian law

v  Not less than 5 years (of which a minimum of 3 in the field) of progressively responsible professional experience in child protection, humanitarian affairs, human rights and related fields

v  Good knowledge and understanding of DO NO HARM principles

v  Experience with participatory approaches to protection, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief management or other related areas

v  Good communication skills and knowledge of local languages especially in Hausa

CHILD PROTECTION IN EMERGENCIES OFFICERS – Gombe

REQUIREMENTS

v  University degree in Law, Political Sciences or related field

v  Good knowledge of international refugee, human rights and humanitarian law

v  Not less than 5 years (of which a minimum of 3 in the field) of progressively responsible professional experience in child protection, humanitarian affairs, human rights and related fields

v  Good knowledge and understanding of DO NO HARM principles

v  Experience with participatory approaches to protection, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief management or other related areas

v  Good communication skills and knowledge of local languages especially in Hausa

DRIVER – Gombe

REQUIREMENTS

v  A full and clean driving license with 3 – 5 years experience of professional driving in an international NGO, UN agency or private company

v  Ability to multi-task and work calmly under pressure is essential for this position

v  Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in insecure environments is critical

v  Some practical experience I user vehicle maintenance

FINANCE ASSISTANCE – Gombe

REQUIREMENTS

v  B. sc/HND or equivalent in Finance/Accounts/Business Administration

v  Experience in working with partners accountable for grants and other financial support provided to implement project activities, particularly at community level

LOGISTICS OFFICER – Gombe

REQUIREMENTS

v  Degree in Business Administration or any related Social Science discipline

v  Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high level of IT expertise

v  2 years prior experience in a similar role (experience in an INGO will be a plus)

v  Ability to work in a relatively insecure field based environment and willingness to travel
