POSITION: AUTOCAD SPECIALIST
The AutoCAD Draftsman will work directly with the engineering team, and will take directions from the engineers to generate three-dimensional models and drawings using AutoCAD software. In most cases, he will be involved with improving or modifying current specifications. The AutoCAD Draftsman will maintain working knowledge of his industry, and apply industry specific drafting codes and standards, following functional specifications of the designs assigned to him.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare 2D 3D drawings on AutoCAD
Create original drawings from hand sketches, and design specifications from concept to completion
Check drawings created by other design drafters
To produce drawings based on computations and specifications provided by engineers, project managers etc.
Develop detail drawings.
Produce drawings and submit to respective Design Engineer / Coordinator for review as per schedule
Ensure all drawing data is stored on computer according to the revision status and back up all drawings on a regular basis
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Minimum qualification is B.Sc.
Required experience is a minimum of 5years
Ability to design
Conversant with international codes for all Mechanical Electrical installations as required
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Ability to multi-task
Attention to detail
Willingness to travel
