FINCA is recruiting for a highly-motivated and hands-on Facilities Management Officer who thrives in dynamic environments to be part of the pioneer team for FINCA’s regulated microfinance bank start-up in Owerri, Nigeria. The Facilities Management Officer reports to the Administration Services Manager, and is responsible for coordinating facilities and asset management, overseeing all branch construction or refurbishment, as well as managing logistical and administrative areas for the company.
Essential Duties:
- Search and recommend new locations for branches as shall be authorized and coordinate the change to new location of existing branches,
- Ensuring all contracts and rental agreements are priced at competitive market rates and provide maximum value to FINCA.
- Ensure that all FINCA fixed assets are properly managed, coded and registered and that the movement of all FINCA assets within the company or to outside parties is accurately and completely tracked at all times.
- Ensure transparent and professional relations with all landlords/caretakers and ensure obligations to the same are met on time
- Serve as custodian of the Head office store and coordinate related branch stores for efficient management/records
Qualifications and Experience:
- HND/BSC in related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience with a minimum of 3 years of facility management experience
- At least one year of mid-level management experience
- Proficient in MS-Office Suite (especially Excel) and comfortable with fixed asset registry databases
- Fluency in English required, Igbo or other local language skills strongly desirable.
