Our client is a leading private educational institution with a Group of Schools established with a reputation of delivering highest standard in education in Nigeria and Africa through quality all-round education, from kindergarten to tertiary level.

The Supervisor, Business Development Unit manages business development activities for the company driving sales activities and the acquisition of new business.

Position: Supervisor, Business Development Unit

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES


The prospect must demonstrate:

  • Proven business development manager who is used to working to targets.

  • Proven track record in sales, business development and winning new business.

  • Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads.

  • Show an understanding of the challenges facing the industry at present and illustrate a knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must possess a minimum of B.Sc. Degree in Marketing or any relevant discipline, a Master’s Degree and/or Professional Membership could be an added advantage.

  • Must have a minimum of post qualification experience of 7 years as a marketer, 3 of which should be with an Educational Organisation.

  • Must possess a current Driver’s License as an evidence of ability to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.

  • Must be able to work under little supervision.

  • Must possess high level of commitment and should be highly innovative.

  • Must be able to travel outside Lagos officially whenever the need arises.

  • Must be Excellent with the use of ICT.

  • Must possess good communication skills and should be a go-getter.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing, implementing and evaluating marketing strategies.

  • Conducting regular market surveys and benchmarking against rival schools.

  • Gathering and analysing feedbacks from stakeholders.

  • Working with the different Units of the Organisation in ensuring that numerical targets are met.

  • Expanding the area of coverage through innovative marketing ideas that should be discussed with the BDU Manager.

  • Working with the Communications and Corporate Affairs Unit to source for sponsorship of the organisation’s major events mostly from corporate bodies and a few philanthropists.

  • Working with the Communications and Corporate Affairs Unit and Administrative officers of all the schools to gather relevant parents’ data for communication.

  • Supervision of the activities of the BDU Officers.

  • Sending weekly reports of her activities to the BDU Manager.

  • Facilitating regular trainings to the BDU Officers and local Marketing Teams of other Units.

  • Working with the BDU Manager and the Communications Unit in the production of marketing materials.

  • Making presentations at different corporate offices.

  • Defending the Brand at all times.

  • Any other responsibilities that may be given from time to time.
