We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: System Engineer
Job Location: Abuja
Job Description
- Installing, supporting and maintaining new server hardware
and software infrastructure;
- Allocating network resources & setting up user
accounts, permissions and passwords;
- Monitoring network usage;
- Ensuring the most cost-effective and efficient use of
servers;
- Suggesting and providing IT solutions to business and
management problems;
- Ensuring that all IT equipment complies with organization’s
policies;
- Analyzing and resolving faults, whether it is a major
system crash or a forgotten password;
- Undertaking routine preventative measures and implementing,
maintaining and monitoring network security, particularly if
the network connects to the internet;
- Providing training and technical support for users with
varying levels of IT knowledge and competence;
- Working closely with other departments/organizations and
collaborating with other IT staff;
- Implementing planned future IT developments and undertaking
project work;
- Managing and keeping internal networks running;
- Allowing, denying and monitoring the use of the web by
employees.
- Installing, configuring and maintaining (troubleshooting)
other IT equipment, such as printers and scanners, etc
- Any other tasks as assigned by Supervisor or MD/CEO
Requirements
- B.SC or HND in Computer Science or Engineering; NYSC
certificate.
Skills:
- Good problem diagnosis/solving and analytical skill,
knowledge of computer networking, good reporting and
communication skills, methodical and well organized.
